Ben Brown Fine Arts is pleased to return to The Armory Show from September 8-10th at the Javits Center in New York (Booth 200). We will present a curated booth focusing on the gallery's stable of contemporary artists including Tony Bevan, Yoan Capote, Awol Erizku, Vik Muniz, Nabil Nahas, José Parlá, Enoc Perez, Ena Swansea, Hank Willis Thomas, and Gavin Turk. Alongside, we will present iconic sculpture by Robert Indiana.
Highlights include new works from Muniz's Surfaces series of unique photographic works, iconic seascape paintings by Capote, nostalgic paintings based on vintage holiday postcards by Perez, distinctive, pigment-rich architectural constructions by Bevan, and a series of new, overpainted photographs by Erizku. Our stand will also include new works by Swansea, whose paintings draw on overlooked, quotidian scenes of New York City, at once familiar yet lacking a discernible narrative. As a result, our curated selection will include paintings, photographs, mixed media works and sculptures straight from the artists' studios, illuminating the engaging and innovative practices of the gallery's diverse and talented team of contemporary artists.
