Jiang Pengyi graduated from the Beijing Institute of Art and Design in 1999 and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, in 2014. He has been awarded the Aletti ArtVerona Prize for Photography (2011), the Jury Grand Prize from the Société Générale Chinese Art Awards (2010) and the Three Shadows Photography Award (2008). Jiang Pengyi was invited to participate at the 2012 Helsinki Photography Biennial and was nominated for the 2012 Prix Pictet.
