克洛德•莱兰和弗朗索瓦•沙维尔•莱兰从60年代已各自和一起被称为"莱斯拉兰"。弗朗索瓦•沙维尔•莱兰在他1952年的首次个展认识了克洛德 (她当时的姓氏是Dupeux)。他在那次展览後舍弃了油画并转移到雕塑。莱兰夫妇的作品曾在世界各地重点博物馆被展出如纽约国立设计博物馆、巴黎国立现代艺术馆、巴黎蓬皮杜艺术中心、巴黎自然历史博物馆和纽约Cooper Hewitt 博物馆。
