Ben Brown Fine Arts is pleased to announce our participation at the Fine Art Asia fair, 5-8 October 2022, held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We will bring together a selection of works by gallery artists Enoc Perez and Ena Swansea, exploring the distinct and abstract ways in which these two artists have explored urban and architectural landscapes all over the world.
Puerto Rican-American artist Enoc Perez will present striking paintings, exploring the metaphorical significance of utopian landscapes and modern interiors all over the world. Perez developed a unique artistic vocabulary using architecture and space as a lens through which to examine symbols of power, identity, and aesthetics, both national and personal.
Ena Swansea will exhibit paintings which are typically based on the familiar, often overlooked, daily scenes of New York City and rural areas of her origins in the southern United States. Swansea's works are characterised by their ambiguity; they are at once uncannily familiar yet lack a discernible narrative or identification, instead creating a sense of hazy recollection or an elusive dream.
We look forward to welcoming collectors to our booth and presenting the outstanding work of these two New York-based artists examining interiors, exteriors, and landscapes, filtered through their unique personal and stylistic lenses.
