Vision and Virtue : Claridge’s ArtSpace, Brooks Mews, London, W1K 4DZ
Ben Brown Fine Arts is thrilled to announce Vision and Virtue, an exhibition presented at Claridge’s ArtSpace in London, in the heart of Mayfair, to be held concurrently with Frieze Week in London. The exhibition celebrates the unique visions and powerful messages of the gallery artists, including such works as Awol Erizku’s iconic portrait Teen Venus (2013); an intensely charged, semi-abstract bullfight painting by Miquel Barceló; Yoan Capote’s sublime seascape painting comprised of fish hooks and gold leaf, Requiem (Imponderable) (2022); grandiose libraries from Candida Höfer; powerful abstract, calligraphic paintings by José Parlá; impactful retroreflectives and sports jersey quilts by Hank Willis Thomas; and adroitly humorous works by Gavin Turk including a painted bronze Tip sculpture, among other special pieces.
Vision and Virtue will be exhibited at Claridge’s ArtSpace in London from October 8 to 15 2022. Simultaneously Ghosts of Empires II, curated by Larry Ossei-Mensah, will be on view at Ben Brown Fine Arts London gallery at 12 Brook’s Mews through October 22, 2022 and the gallery will participate in Frieze Masters held at Regent's Park in London October 12-16, 2022 (Booth B13). Claridge’s, the legendary hotel in the heart of Mayfair, unveiled Claridge’s ArtSpace in 2021. Designed by John Pawson, Claridge’s ArtSpace is accessed by an entrance on the newly restored Claridge’s façade on Brook’s Mews. Claridge’s ArtSpace stages rotating exhibitions with international galleries and artists, and has approachability at its core, with free access to all.
