Innovation and Tradition : Calder to Capote
Past exhibition
Overview
Ben Brown Fine Arts is thrilled to announce Innovation and Tradition: Calder to Capote at our Palm Beach gallery, the final exhibition of the season before the gallery closes until November. This thought-provoking presentation elicits dialogue between distinguished post-war and contemporary artists, examining how the challenging of notions and traditions of the past has brought forth radical new ideas and practices that have, and continue to, change the trajectory of art history today.
Innovation and Tradition: Calder to Capote celebrates the unique visions and powerful messages of artists from past to present. Important works by historical post-war masters including Alexander Calder, Robert Indiana, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, and Tom Wesselmann will be exhibited alongside new works by our international stable of contemporary artists including Yoan Capote, Awol Erizku, Candida Höfer, Vik Muniz, Enoc Perez, and Hank Willis Thomas.
