Alighiero e Boetti : Alighiero e Boetti
I have done a lot of work which presents a visual disorder that is actually the representation of a mental order. It’s just a question of knowing the rules of the game. Someone who doesn’t know them will never see the order that reigns in things. It’s like looking at a starry sky. Someone who does not know the order of the stars will see only confusion, whereas an astronomer will have a very clear vision of things.

Ben Brown Fine Arts is pleased to announce an intimate presentation of the work of Alighiero Boetti, as a continuance of our summer exhibition, Alighiero e Boetti: Regola e Regolarsi, across our London galleries. Ben Brown Fine Arts has steadfastly exhibited Boetti’s work over the last two decades, with eight solo exhibitions and numerous group shows at both the London and Hong Kong galleries, highlighting our depth of interest and expertise in 20th century post-war Italian art. This exhibition brings together iconic examples from various periods of Boetti’s oeuvre, including Arte Povera objects, a Mappa, Tutto, Arazzi, Aerei, Faccine, Biros and other experimental works on paper, and a rare rug (Tappeti) and kilim.
