Housed in a superb Victorian building designed by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie, this is the largest public art gallery in northern Scotland and the gallery is home to one of the largest and most impressive art collections in Britain, including sculpture, paintings, and graphic arts from the 15th century to the present. Aberdeen Art Gallery also has an excellent collection of works by French Impressionist artists such as Renoir, Monet, and Cezanne, and works by modern masters like Damien Hirst and Gavin Turk.
