Reclining Head of Julia, 2007-08
弗蘭克•奧爾巴赫出生於柏林一個猶太家族中。他的家庭在１９３９年因納粹而逃離到英國。他從１９４８年至１９５２年在聖馬丁美術學院學美術，並在倫敦的市鎮理工學院上夜校。奧爾巴赫其后從１９５２至１９５５年在皇家藝術大學 (Royal College of Art)學藝術。在１９７８年，英國藝術委員會為他在倫敦Hayward畫廊辦了一個回顧展。他還曾經在１９８６年威尼斯雙年展的英國館和阿姆斯特丹國立博物館舉辦過個人展。他的作品被很多重要博物館收藏。
